On November the 10th, 2011, the 36th session of the General conference, which was held at UNESCO Headquarters form October 24 to November 10, was officially closed. The Georgian delegation, headed by the Minister of Culture and Monument Protection of Georgia, Mr. Nikoloz Rurua, participated in the event. The Head of the Georgian Delegation presented the National Statement at the plenary meeting of the General Conference. In the framework of the General Conference, Mr. Nikoloz Rurua held a meeting with the UNESCO Assistant Director-General for Culture, Mr. Francesco Bandarin. During the meeting, the sides discussed issues of Georgia-UNESCO future co-operation in cultural sphere.
