The Intergovernmental Conference Tbilisi+35: Environmental Education for Sustainable Development, organized by the Government of Georgia in partnership with UNESCO and UNEP has started on the 6th of September in Tbilisi, Georgia.
Mr. Qian Tang, the UNESCO Assistant Director General for Education Sector, participated in the conference in the capacity of the vice-president.
In the framework of the visit Mr. Tang held his meetings with the Minister of Education and Science of Georgia, Ms. Khatia Dekanoidze, the Minister of Culture and Monument Protection, Mr. Nikoloz Rurua and with the Deputy Foreign Minister, Mr. Davit Jalagania. He also visited Tbilisi Vocational College "Spectri" and inclusive education public School N 198.
The Secretary General of the Georgian National Commission for UNESCO, Ms Ketevan Kandelaki, participated in the abovementioned meetings.
