The joint UNESCO/ICOMOS/ICCROM reactive monitoring mission visited Georgia from 23rd to 28th    of April, 2012with the aim to evaluate the state of conservation of the Georgian World Heritage sites, Historic Monuments of Mtskheta and Bagrati Cathedral and Gelati Monastery. In the framework of the mentioned visit, meetings were held- with the Minister of Culture and Monument Protection of Georgia, Mr. Nikoloz Rurua, at the National Agency for Cultural Heritage Preservation of Georgia, Patriarchate and at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia, with the Vice-President of the Georgian National Commission for UNESCO, Mr. Davit Jalagania.

On the grounds of the missions' report the World Heritage Committee will elaborate draft recommendations and submit them to the 36th session of the committee to be held in October, 2012.
