UNESCO Artist for Peace Elisso Bolkvadze joins the project "TVSCHOOL" specially elaborated by the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sport of Georgia and the Georgian Public Broadcasting to prevent the spread of COVID-19 in Georgia.
The 43rd session of the World Heritage Committee of UNESCO, held in Baku (Azerbaijan), concluded its work on July 10. The Committee discussed the conditions of conservation of sites inscribed into the World Heritage List (including those from Georgia) and the question of inscription of new sites to the List.
A Georgian project entitled “Development of the Creative Cluster Ecosystem” was founded in the frames of the EU/UNESCO Expert Facility on the Governance of Culture in Developing Countries joint program. The presentation of the project was held on July 5th, 2019, at the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sport of Georgia, with the participation of Ketevan Kandelaki, the Secretary General of the Georgian National Commission for UNESCO.
On May 3, 2019, a press conference on the seventh Batumi International Music Festival "Batumi Black Sea Music and Art Festival" was organized at the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sport of Georgia. The conference was led by Mr. Mikheil Batiashvili, Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sport, Ms. Elisso Bolkvadze, Founder of the Festival and Ms. Ketevan Kandelaki, Director of the Department of International Cultural and Humanitarian Relations of Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia.
On April 30, 2019, on the occasion of the International Jazz Day, a concert of the renowned jazz-band “Irakli Louis Ambassadors” and the big-band of Tbilisi Municipality was held in the main hall of the Tbilisi State Conservatoire. The leader of band is Irakli Davrishev-Davrisashvili, a descendant of Georgian immigrants, and the artist's work is closely linked to the jazz genius legend Louis Armstrong.
