On the initiative of its sector of Social and Human Sciences, UNESCO published a new book entitled "Writing Peace" which offers an introduction to the study of the world's scripts and alphabets.
The book presents 22 ancient writing systems among which Georgian appears just after Chinese, Greek, Roman, and Hebrew alphabets on a timeline.
On the pages dedicated to Georgia, the reader has the opportunity to discover a brief history of the Georgian script and to do exercises for better assimilation of the basics of the Georgian alphabet.
